Getting started with BrainSTIM

If you have found your way here, you are looking for answers for your child, and we want the first steps to feel as clear and calm as the therapy itself. What follows is exactly how starting with BrainSTIM works, so you know what to expect before you enquire. Please read it through, because it explains a few things we need from you up front to make sure we can genuinely help.

Please note: in order to progress to an appointment, you must complete the form at the bottom of this page.

How starting with BrainSTIM works

We welcome one new family based on availability, always on a Tuesday morning. We keep it deliberately small so that each new child receives the time, attention and thorough assessment their program deserves. Your child’s first weeks follow the same clear path. In the first week comes the Initial BrainSTIM Assessment, a Tuesday morning appointment where we assess your child’s neurological foundations and development. A week later, again on a Tuesday morning, comes the Report of Findings and Homecare session, where Amie walks you through what the assessment revealed and sets up your tailored homecare program. From the third week onwards, your child moves into ongoing weekly BrainSTIM appointments at a regular time that suits your family, where the real work of building lasting change happens.

What we ask before we begin

The first two appointments shape everything that follows, so before we book we ask families to confirm three things: that you can attend the Initial Assessment on a Tuesday morning, that you can attend the Report of Findings on the following week’s Tuesday morning, and that there is an ongoing weekly appointment time that works for your family. We ask this up front for a good reason. A great deal of care goes into analysing each assessment and building a homecare and treatment program made specifically for your child, and we want to be certain there is a clear path to continue that work once it is done, so the effort translates into real, ongoing progress rather than a plan with nowhere to go.

Our current waitlist

Because we take on only one new family as space opens, we are currently booking around 3 to 6 months ahead. We know that can feel like a long wait when you are ready for change now. Please be reassured that once you enquire you are on our list, we will keep you informed, and you will not be forgotten.

What happens after you enquire

Once you complete the short form below and let us know your availability, you will receive an email straight away confirming that we have your details. When your family nears the top of our list, Amie will be in touch to confirm your appointment times and send through your new patient paperwork. From there we book your two Tuesday mornings and your ongoing weekly time, and your child’s BrainSTIM journey begins. Change starts here. We look forward to meeting you and your child.
